Course Content
This course is an 18-month programme requiring 25 days off-site training over 12 months, followed by up to 6 months assessment for the NVQ Level 2 Wood Occupations – Structural Post and Beam Carpentry. (CSCS Blue Card – Skilled Worker)

- Emergency First Aid at Work
- PASMA Low Level Towers for users
- Using and Maintaining Framing Power Tools
- Safe Working at Heights
- Slinging Techniques for Lifting Heavy Timbers
- Scribing Timbers for Structural Timber Frames
- Design and Drawing for Structural Timber Frames
- Selecting, Converting and Visual Grading of Timber
- Introduction to Joint Design
- Setting Out Structural Timber Frames
- Fabricating Structural Timber Frames
- Site Erection of Structural Timber Frames
- Conservation and Repair of Timber Frames
